John A. Charles, Ph.D., President
John Charles holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with special emphasis in heat
transfer, fluid mechanics and structural analysis. Prior to co-founding PROdry Technology,
John was employed by James River Corporation as Research Fellow managing a technical
group responsible for paper machine system analysis, optimization and diagnostics for the
company's U.S. and European mills. Before entering the paper industry with Crown Zellerbach
in 1981, John was an Assistant Professor of mechanical engineering at Ohio State University.
A member of ASME and TAPPI, John has been a Session Chair and lecturer at the TAPPI Pressing
and Drying Short Course, and since 1995 has been Chairman of the three day TAPPI Tissue
Runnability Short Course. He authored numerous technical papers and a chapter titled "Paper
Machine and Roll Vibration" in Pulp and Paper Manufacture, Volume 7, Paper Machine Operations
published by TAPPI Press in 1991.

John A. Tyburski, Vice President
John Tyburski has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Forest
Biometrics. Before co-founding PROdry
Technology, John was Senior Research Associate with James River Corporation.
His skills in paper machine diagnostic techniques were utilized through his
work in process enhancement
and trouble-shooting throughout the James River manufacturing system. John
has unique abilities in the area of high-velocity hoods, where he is a recognized
expert. John
also has a range of maintenance supervisory experience in the paper and wood
products industries. As a member of TAPPI John has served as faculty and Session
Chair for the TAPPI
Pressing and Drying Short Course.
